Privacy notice, data handling, and third-party acknowledgements for this website.
Summary
This website sets no cookies and creates no persistent identifier for you. It provides no account system, no comment facility, and no forms, and does not request your name, email address, or any other personal detail. The only thing stored on your device is a language preference, described below, which is set only if you choose a language yourself.
Storage on your device
If you select English or Polish using the switch in the navigation column, that
choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key
mist.lang, so that the site opens in the language you picked. It
holds the two letters of the language code and nothing else. It is not an
identifier, is never transmitted anywhere, and is readable only by this website
on this device. Clearing your browsing data removes it.
Under the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Ireland (S.I. No. 336/2011), storage which is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has explicitly requested is exempt from the consent requirement. Recording a language you have just chosen falls within that exemption, which is why no consent banner is shown. No other information is written to your device.
Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 in cookieless mode. Consent for
analytics_storage and ad_storage is set to
denied by default, before the measurement tag is initialised. In this
configuration Google Analytics transmits anonymous events rather than writing a
_ga cookie, and page views cannot be linked into a profile of an
individual visitor across sessions.
The following is transmitted with each event: IP address (used to derive an approximate country or region, and not retained thereafter), browser and device type, the page requested, and the referring page. An IP address constitutes personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), which is the basis for this notice.
This page carries no analytics tag.

Third-party recipients
Where a page loads a file hosted by another organisation, your browser issues a request directly to that organisation's server, which necessarily discloses your IP address to it. This is inherent to how the web operates and is not a transfer of any further information. Typefaces and stylesheets are served from this site itself, so no request for them leaves it. The organisations concerned are:
- Google — analytics only (
googletagmanager.com) - ArtStation, operated by Epic Games — delivery of artwork images
- GitHub — the profile image used as this site's icon
None of the above are advertising networks. None receives any information beyond that which a browser transmits with an ordinary request for a file.
Rights of the data subject
Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of personal data concerning you, to request restriction of processing, and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest.
A practical limitation should be stated clearly. Because analytics are operated without cookies or any other persistent identifier, no data held can be attributed to an identified or identifiable individual, and the records cannot be searched by reference to a person. In the terms of Article 11 of the GDPR, the controller is not in a position to identify the data subject. Requests will nonetheless be answered, and will set out what data exists.
Complaints may be addressed to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland
(dataprotection.ie), or to the supervisory authority of your place of
residence.
